The Promenade
Shops At Centerra Loveland Colorado
|
|
Posted November 9, 2005 by Dan
Keating One of the big features of
the Promenade Shops is that the area is pet friendly. The shops have a
policy where dogs are allowed on the plazas and in some of the stores.
The stores which allow the animals will have pet friendly stickers
in their windows. There will also be watering stations available.
However, the dogs need to be restrained and on their
best behavior. Restrained means on a leash at all times. As stated by
Tiffany Villavicencio "we just invite friendly, well behaved dogs on a
leash." |

Keating In talking to the new
Metrolux 14 theater in the Promenade Shops the manager stated to me that
they were planning to be open for today's performances. When I was there
they were madly running around attending to last minute opening day
details but the popcorn machine was working. I am sure of it since it
smelled great mwhen I was around lunch time. The Metrolux 12 on Denver
Ave is now closed. |

Posted October 28, 2005 The Promenade Shops Opened
this morning with there first full day and the first day of their grand
opening celebration. The parking lots were crowded early as the families
arrived for the parade and other opening ceremonies. I walked the entire
main street to see what was open. You can find a list of shops
here. There are 33 shops that were
open this morning and more will come through the following two months. I
personally found an item on sale at the Best Buy store that was even
better than the Ft Collins store so I made my first purchase at the
shops. I was by all the evidence joined buy many 1000's of others as
there were many shoppers with their hands full of logo printed shopping
bags.
It was also reported even before the official opening
that the sales at Foley's, Dick's Sporting Goods and Best Buy are
running ahead of projections. As with most brand new large projects they
have some clean up to do but I would say it is easy to get around and
easy to find things. If you are hungry, the only restaurant open was Red
Robin and they were doing a land office wait in line business at lunch.
There is still much to enjoy at this grand opening
throughout the weekend if you are of a mind to do so.
See schedule here. |
|
Posted October 24, 2005 The Grand Opening will be
held Friday October 28 through Sunday October 30. There is much going on
all day as the shops introduce themselves to the public. Celebration has
free gifts, jeep give away and a free trip to Vegas. Also on tap is the
Budweiser Clydesdales and strolling artists. All day Saturday is a free
music festival and Sunday there is trick or treating for the kids.

March 1, 2005 The Shops at Centerra are at the center of Loveland
Colorado's newest shopping area at I-25 and Highway 34. This area
according to the developers is "one of the most underserved in the
nation." With the population being over 500,000 in the Larimer and Weld
Counties The Shops at Centerra will be the diamond in the crown of this
area. Loveland is fast becoming the shopping and commercial business
center of Northern Colorado. Besides the Shops at Centerra this
area features the new Larimer County Fairgrounds and at it's center is
The Budweiser Events center. The events center with all of it's
attractions and sports teams, draws people from 4 states and the larger
metro areas to the south. |
