February 17, 2006 – Loveland’s first all-suite hotel, Residence Inn by Marriott, plans to open this May at Centerra.  Located at Centerra, the development is a joint venture between McWhinney Enterprises of Loveland, CO and Stonebridge Companies of Denver, CO.  The hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise owned by McWhinney Enterprises and Stonebridge Companies, and will be managed by Stonebridge Companies.

Viewed as a leader in extended-stay lodging, Residence Inns are designed as all-suite hotels that offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. This hotel will be the only all-suites hotel in Loveland with a total 103 suites over 71,976 square feet.  Loveland-based Alliance Construction Solutions was contracted to build the hotel, and began construction last September. Residence Inn at Centerra should open in late May 2006, conditional upon Marriott’s final inspection and approval.

Designed for extended stays of five nights or more, all suites will have a fully-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, coffee maker, stovetop, microwave, full-sized appliances and high-speed and wireless internet. The hotel will offer daily housekeeping, same-day dry cleaning and valet service.

“We are pleased to bring Residence Inn by Marriott to Centerra,” said Chad McWhinney, Principal and CEO, McWhinney Enterprises. “This new hotel brings quality long-term stay hotel rooms to the city, offering guests access to myriad activities, sites and businesses in Northern Colorado as well as convenient access to the new Medical Center of the Rockies.”

Near 1-25 and US Highway 34, the Residence Inn by Marriott will be the closest hotel to the new Medical Center of the Rockies, scheduled to open in 2007 and offering short and long-term care to thousands of patients annually from northern Colorado, southeastern Wyoming and western Nebraska.  In addition, the hotel is 35 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park, 10 miles from Colorado State University, 3 miles from the Fort Collins/Loveland Airport and within walking distance of several businesses and service providers. Guests will also have access to the new Promenade Shops at Centerra, The Marketplace at Centerra, and the many restaurants in the area ranging from Johnny Carino’s and Chili’s to PF Changes and On the Border.

“This hotel will provide a residential atmosphere with spacious accommodations offering guests a home away from home,” said Navin Dimond, President and CEO, Stonebridge Companies.

Guests will enjoy complimentary coffee each morning in the lobby area. Other hotel facilities and services will include an indoor pool, spa, guest laundry facility, and business and fitness center.
