CO's BMW First To Move To Centerra Motorplex

McWhinney  Enterprises  has  announced  the  grand opening of the first dealer to locate at Motorplex at Centerra, Co's BMW. The region's original master-planned auto park, Motorplex at Centerra is located at the interchange of Crossroads Boulevard and I-25 in Loveland.  With over 100 acres of retail space for dealers who represent the top auto marques, the upscale center will be the largest gathering of auto dealers in Northern Colorado and set the tone for leading automotive retailing nationwide.

"With over 1.5 million square feet of commercial development under construction this year, Centerra is becoming  the center  of  all  retail,  employment,  entertainment  and  economic  activity  in Northern Colorado,"  said  Chad  McWhinney,  Principal  and  CEO  of McWhinney  Enterprises.    "Motorplex  at Centerra is a signature part of the master-plan for Centerra.  We believe that grouping together the best  auto  retailers  in  this  venue  best  serves  the  interests  of  the  community,  the  public  and each individual dealership."

Co's  BMW  recently  moved  to  Motorplex  from  Fort  Collins  and  will  celebrate  a  grand  opening  on December 1st.  Eight other major manufacturers and nameplates that plan to locate in the auto park are in escrow and will be announced over the next few months. "Motorplex  at  Centerra  is  Colorado's only  master-planned  auto  park,"  said  Doug  Hill,  Principal  and COO  of McWhinney  Enterprises.    "It's  the  culmination  of years of planning, strategic research and design that delivers the absolute best consumer environment to buy a vehicle.  Every dealer in the park will reflect the service, quality products and reputation expected in our community."

Motorplex  at  Centerra  will  be  one  of  the  most  attractive  and  environmentally conscious  auto  retail centers in the state.  Lighting fixtures were designed to meet dark sky requirements and abundant landscaping was cultivated to enhance viewpoints of dealer vehicles.  Motorplex at Centerra will also exude an upscale ambiance with native stone and materials, as well as modern sculptural elements that help tie together the environmental qualities of Centerra and the cutting edge technology of the auto industry.  Many experts believe that this auto park will serve as a prototype for future automotive retailing by combining consumer enhancements with good neighbor practices. "Creating a single destination for a full selection of quality dealers has been proven to be the optimal arrangement  for  both  customers  and  retailers,"  noted  Staubach  AutoGroup  national  director  Jim Mullin.

"The  benefits  of  an  auto  park  include  navigation,  selection  and  strong  images  for diverse shopping.  The public has a single destination that is home to the largest selection of quality vehicles in  Northern  Colorado.    And  dealers  are  assured  of  the  maximum  traffic  from  individuals  who  are interested in purchasing a new or pre-owned vehicle.  Statistics indicate that such an arrangement stimulates auto sales while providing a higher level of customer satisfaction."

Phase  One  of  Motorplex  at  Centerra  is  expected  to  be  completed  by  the third  quarter  of  2006 concurrent with eight more franchise openings. Construction is scheduled throughout the following year as additional dealers locate to the development.
